Students coming from Countries outside the European union and wish to spend a period of study in Italy, immersing himself in the language and culture of the Country should apply for study visa at the Italian Consulate in the Country of residence.

Many Countries do not need to make visa application to study, but it is possible to stay in Italy as a tourist for a maximum period of three months. For periods of time greater than is required to have a student visa (or other type).

Students who wish to request a student visa to stay temporarily in Italy can do it with the documents that our school releases at the time of registration.

To submit a request for a study visa, the documents typically required are:

  • a valid passport;
  • a certificate of enrolment in a course of study that provides a frequency of at least 20 hours per week;
  • an international health insurance policy;
  • a document attesting to the availability of adequate means of livelihood
  • for the duration of the stay in Italy;
  • a document attesting to the availability of accommodation;
  • the booking of the ticket.

In some cases, you can apply for a visa multi-year, renewable at the expiration of the one-year course to a continuation of the path study.

The student in possession of a visa shall, within 8 days from arrival in Italy, fill in and send the kit to the request of the permit of stay available at Post Offices.

Once you have obtained the visa, the student will not be able to change the period of study or the type of course.

In the case of a visa refusal notified at least 60 days before the start of the course, you can request the refund of the amount paid, upon the presentation of the letter of refusal issued by the Consulate. From the total amount paid will, however, be kept € 200 to the title of the expenses of management practice and the cost of the membership, as required by the rules of the Schools. After the 60 days from the beginning of the course, the refund will not be possible.
