Enogastronomia Mediterranea
The Mediterranean diet is an integral part of the Italian cultural, historical, social and territorial heritage.
Path aimed at theoretical-practical learning of the basic principles of the Mediterranean diet such as pasta, starches, bread and pizza.
With the Red Path, students learn about the culinary style of southern Italy, which is characterized by a simple cuisine, based on olive oil, a large variety of vegetables, classic pizza, exquisite pasta and bread that cannot be missing from the table of an Italian.
Heart of the Italian environment, the Mediterranean diet received recognition in 2010 as “intangible heritage of humanity” by UNESCO.
In addition to learning Italian culinary vocabulary, ingredients, and how to make homemade pasta, stews, risottos, bread, and pizza, students will learn recipes and the basic concepts of the Mediterranean food style through the Red Path.
The Red Path takes students on a journey where the senses are ignited and the flavors are more intense, and they can experience traditional Italian cuisine, from theory to practice, to tasting.

Travel and discover the territory
Activities with naturalistic and cultural itineraries that offer various excursions to the National Parks located in the Calabrian territory (Sila National Park and Polino Park) with the guidance of park rangers and environmental experts.
Travel to discover a land of beauty and flavors to explore while admiring splendid Calabrian landscapes kissed by the sun, between the golden beaches of the Riviera dei Cedri, the island of Dino and the island of Cirella, the Mediterranean scrub, fragrant and lush, and the maritime pines that hide small churches, archaeological remains and watchtowers that alternate with hidden coves, lapped by clear and inviting water with seabeds rich in submerged treasures.
The itineraries – which highlight the geological, morphological, landscape and floral peculiarities of the territory – are also suitable for children and younger people ready to learn something new about the environment around them.
The Green Routes are suitable for those who wish to admire uncontaminated places and stay in contact with nature to rediscover the Calabrian territory among emotions, scents, colors, sounds and breathtaking views through unique routes and itineraries.

Craftsmanship in the village
Italy is famous for its beautiful artisan traditions, and has been the source of countless unique works of art for many centuries.
Today this tradition remains an invaluable attraction, indispensable for the production of luxury goods, made to the satisfaction of the most demanding connoisseurs.
Even general carpentry: a typical example is the production of pipes.
In some countries, highly skilled luthiers work in the production of traditional musical instruments, including whistles, violins, guitars, etc.
Each area has its own characteristic production, ranging from the apotropaic masks of archaic origin Seminara for the fish bottles of Rossano, to the vases with scenes from the mythology of the Greco-Roman city of Gerace, to the brilliant enamels of Squillace.
One of the characteristic elements of Calabrian craftsmanship is undoubtedly the spinning wheel: used in the past by women for spinning, the wooden spindles, which in that period were also offered as engagement gifts and therefore have an important symbolic value.
Through the Yellow Path students gain in-depth knowledge of the techniques and procedures for developing local craftsmanship, sharing the precious creative forces of our invaluable artisans, who pass on the know-how of artisanal elements with techniques inherited from generation to generation, done by hand.
The experiences are mostly of a practical nature, where you learn the basic techniques for the production of typical Italian craftsmanship, taught by local artisans.
At the end of the activity, students will be able to keep the products prepared and processed during the meeting.
…students have an in-depth knowledge of the techniques and procedures for developing local craftsmanship.
